Netscape continues to (for better or for worse) set standards for the
world wide web. If you're going to be creating a web site, you might
as well use what the majority of users use.
No joke, this is a nice piece of software. IE tends to lag a bit
behind in the implementation of Netscape's tags (which may be a good
thing), but does support things like background colors and tables.
Bad
AOL Web Browswer
This is perhaps the worst browser I have ever seen. Hopefully by the
time you read this, Steve Case and company will have abandoned this
heap.
NCSA Mosaic
Post-Andreesen Mosaic is an odd story. Last I heard this supported
tables, so long as no interesting data were contained within.
